Why stop at 5

So the Brewers announced that they are adding a new Sausage to the famous Sausage Race at Miller Park.
Chorizo, a tasty Mexican sausage, will join the Hot Dog, Bratwurst, Polish and Italian as the newest member of the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages team at Miller Park.

But why stop with just one more sausage I believe there is room for one more. A sausage that has stood the test of time, yes it's a favorite of the Wisconsin State Fair, it's a blue ribbon champion... THE CORN DOG!

What's better than sausage on a stick deep fried?

Wow I'm done?

This week I had a colonoscopy at Froedert. Everyone at Freoedert either is really really good at making it no big deal or getting a colonoscopy is really no big deal. My father passed away from colon cancer when he was still in his 30's so I am at a higher risk of colon cancer. When I decided to help with the Bobbie Nick Voss Charity golf classic which is July 31st..(details at bobbiesays.com) to raise awareness and help fight colon cancer I knew this was a reminder to me that I should have a colonoscopy as my mom has been telling me to do for about 5 years or so.

Outside of having to endure sitting on the throne for most of a night there is nothing to be afraid of. I was completely comfortable while getting poked and prodded the drugs they gave me pretty much wiped any memory of the procedure out of my mind, which is totally fine with me.
And I even felt up to going golfing later that day. Everyone at Froedert did an outstanding job from the doctor, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologists, to the office staff they made it as easy as it could be. I was amazed how good I felt after having the procedure done.

I also felt good because I know it was good for me to have this done. Colon cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the United States, but is very treatable if found early and the best way to discover it is with a colonoscopy. With a colonoscopy if they find polyps, like they did with me
they can remove them right there.

If you know someone at a higher risk of colon cancer or at the age when their doctor recommends having a colonoscopy and they haven't had a colonoscopy yet tell them the procedure is really no big deal, but having it done could be a really big deal.

A big thanks to the folks at Froedert for doing what they do everyday, and
the great treatment I received. Check out Froedert.com if you have any questions about colon cancer.

It's how old?

If you heard us talking about the 4 year old fudge and were wondering what does it look like well here it is.... Look at your own risk

The back story on the FUDGE is this. 4 years ago a Hollywood hotdish reporter brought Reitman Mueller and Amy some fudge...Claiming it was the best FUDGE ever....Well it wasn't it tasted as if there was a missing ingredient.

The first day it arrived Gino Salomone replaced my lunch when I stepped out of the studio with the FUDGE in my tupperwear container. Then we snuck into Gene Mueller's Car and put it inside. Next at Christmas time (months later) I had it FED-EXed to Gino. A couple of years later already completely disgusting Gino and his accomplice Oneida had it delivered to me during a radio awards banquet by the staff at the Northern Lights Theater for my birthday.

Now to the latest travels of the FUDGE. Last Friday Lindt Chocolate dropped off some of their fine chocolate in a very decorative box. It was addressed to the Morning crew but the rest of the staff opened it and ate all the Chocolates. Since the Morning show didn't get any of the Chocolates from Lindt Monday afternoon I ran to Lindt and bought some chocolates for them and began what is referred to as "Operation Fudge". I took the wonderful Chocolates from Lindt out of their box and replaced them the FUDGE, wrapped it up nice and neat and presented it to them with a new Card from "Your friends at Lindt" just like the real box of chocolates that came in Friday. When Amy opened the box it wasn't chocolate it was the FUDGE. And Man did it smell disgusting..

Even using hand sanitizer wasn't enough to stop the growth of mold on this fudge....

After spending too much time with the hazardous FUDGE, I got a little light headed. Lucky for me Gino was there to catch me.

Where will the FUDGE end up next?

Don't worry I'm on the lookout.

Golfing to help

I love golfing and I love helping people. So I can't think of a better combination.... I will be helping with the Bobbie Nick Voss Charity Golf Classic. Bobbie Nick Voss passed away from Colon Cancer last year and was someone who urged everyone she knew about the importance of getting screened for colon cancer. Colon cancer is the second leading Cancer killer but if it is detected early it is treatable in 90% of cases.

So July 31st we will get together at North Hills Country Club play some golf and raise some money that will help in research with the Medical College of Wisconsin and with the Vince Lombardi Charitable fund. You can golf with us or you can join us for just the dinner and auction.

If you need more information on how you can join us and to learn more about colon cancer log on to bobbiesays.com

Happy 4th

Happy 4th of July! Alicia our designated driver, Intern #1 and myself were celebrating the 4th in West Bend and in Germantown.

Alicia Intern #1, and myself have a very special way to get ready for a parade posing as Charlie's Angels ....

I'm doing my best Cameron Diaz or Kate Jackson depending on which era you're from.

It's always important before each parade to get in a proper stretch.

First stretch your arms and wrist...

A proper stretch is going to be slow and long that includes your legs even if you sit on top of the van and ride the entire parade...instead of walk.

That is one nice looking wave.

But Intern #1 you need to keep you foam finger out of Dan Kyle's face if you are expecting to move up the Intern ladder.
