I'm dancing again. This Saturday Suzana and I will dance together again. Suzana puts on a ballroom show at the Italian Community Center each year the Mardi Gras Showcase. Suzana besides being a great teacher helps keep my confidence going in the dance world as a newbie to this activity. I never really considered learning how to Ballroom Dance prior to 2006, but enjoyed it more than I thought I ever would and knew someday I'd give it a try again and the Mardi Gras Showcase is that time and place.

Showcase and Open Dance this Saturday, February 16, 2008. Italian Community Center 631 E. Chicago Street, Milwaukee.
It is an all day affair with the day sessions beginning at 10:30am and rolling until 5p and the evening session where I'll dance begins at 8:30. I'll also be the Master of Ceremonies for the day.
Tickets are available at the door if you are interested in seeing many Milwaukee Area ballroom dancers perform. Mention my name and you'll get a $10 discount!

Coming up this Sunday Febuary 10th it's the annual Pasta Fest at Serb Hall. Every year I join in the fight against Childhood Cancer with the Women's MAAC fund as a celebrity server. Using Mama Mia's Spaghetti and Meatball recipe we serve up some great pasta for a great cause.

You can come by for lunch, a late afternoon snack, or early dinner working the spaghetti line are many local Radio and TV personalities. From 11-6 it's some great Pasta and a chance to win some great raffle prizes, there will be clowns, face painting, and musical entertainment.

But the most important is having dinner with us will help the fight against Childhood Cancer with all proceeds benefit critical childhood cancer research through the MAAC fund.

So Tuesday night I went to the Matchbox 20-Alanis Morrisette Show at the Bradley Center. The show was great... Matchbox 20 sounded really really good. It was a great blend of the songs we hear still on KTI that have been around since the 90's.. a few songs I remember playing on KTI but haven't heard in a while and there new music. A couple of the new songs I knew but a couple were new to me but may be joining the KTI playlist in the future.

A great match for a music fan was having Alanis Morrisette with Matchbox 20. I have a soft spot in my heart for Alanis and her angry songs. Who doesn't love "You outta know"? Alanis came in for a live from Studio D here at KTI and really impressed me, as she did last night as well.

But something I learned last night and lucked into myself was wearing the proper concert goer attire the preferred outfit includes a black shirt and blue jeans. About 70% of the attendees wore a black shirt with blue jeans including me! A black shirt and blue jeans are a perfect match for your next concert.

Also watch out for this guy at your next concert the improper walker down the aisle guy! He's the guy who walks down the aisle with his drinks facing you on the way to his seat. Everyone knows when you walk to your seat besides saying excuse me you don't face them. But a guy sitting in our row did just that faced us on the way to his seat!

My theory is the fact that I was the only guy in my row before his seat and if he faced us he could potentially rub up on the women on his way to his seat. With the potential of only having to rub on one guy he must of thought it was worth it! So watch out for him at your next concert while you're wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

A woman from Brazil Angela Bismarchi, 36, is hoping to set the world record for most plastic surgeries. The Brazilian model has had 42 operations, making her a celebrity in her home country.

She's not the record holder yet that title belongs to American Cindy Jackson who's 52 and has had almost that many plastic surgeries. So far Ms Jackson has had 47 different enhancements.

Maybe it's something to do with the name Jackson and the need to have plastic surgery...because we all know this isn't natural!

UFO's? or F-16's?

More than 50 residents of Stephenville, Texas, reported seeing a large, silent, fast-moving object hovering over their rural town in early January. Initially, the military said it didn't have any planes in the area, but later officials claimed that F-16 fighters were training around that time. Some insist they saw at least two fighter jets chasing a large object with bright lights.

Well-respected business owners and a county constable were among dozens who swear that what they saw was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane."I guarantee that what we saw was not a civilian aircraft," Steve Allen, a pilot and freight company owner.

So what was it? The picture doesn't look like F-16's to me but what do I know.

I'm shocked Hannah Montana is lip synching!!! Apparently during her sold out shows they use a body double so Hannah can go backstage for a costume change. While the real Hannah is backstage the song continues with the double pretending to be singing.

I can see why some people would be upset about this since they may have paid substantially more than face value or worked hard to get tickets for the show, but it is what it is. It's Hannah Montana performing for kids....

Check out the video and see for yourself it's pretty obvious to me. When it got to the bridge of the song "We Got the Party," her dancers began to crowd around her. Then they covered her with a black sheet and she went through a secret door. Within a second, a new 'Hannah' came out of a different door wearing oversized white glasses, it happens at about 2:30 of the video.

So today's ebay seller sometimes has to be creative to make some cash that's what a Missouri woman did she took 22 Michael Vick football cards, chewed up and slobbered on by her two dogs, and then sold them on Ebay.

The winning bidder dished out $7,400 - with the money expected to be donated to the Humane Society.
The success of that auction, with 31 different bidders, created a craze of 25 other postings this week offering torn up cards featuring the disgraced NFL superstar.
But so far, the original post has been the only auction to attract droves of bidders.
The cards worth $1-to-$10 were crumpled, crimped, chewed, torn and generally in a sorry state.

Yet again God as appeared in food. This time God appeared in an EGGPLANT!

Felicia Teske says she was preparing fried eggplant for dinner Sunday evening and noticed that the seeds in one slice seemed to spell out the word "GOD".
Felicia says she bought the eggplant at a roadside produce stand a while back, and also says the discovery has really given her food for thought. Felicia told Action News that she recently had family members pass away and it is comforting that "GOD" appeared.
Felicia Teske and her husband put aside that slice of eggplant. But with the rest of it they had for dinner, which they say was simply divine.

It was such a sign from God that they are now considering selling the eggplant on ebay.

They aren't the only family to have a holy encounter. A smudge of driveway sealant said to resemble Jesus Christ's face is up for sale for $1,500 after a Virginia family that found the image on its garage floor. The family has hired a contractor to remove the marked section of concrete from the garage floor so the chunk could be turned over to the auction winner.
In addition to reselling the slab, there are also 4"x6" pictures for sale showing the mark on the concrete slab.

Thai Police have a new way of identifying Police officers that have found themselves in some trouble. The Police will mark them with what they call the "MARK OF SHAME". What is the "mark of shame" it's a Hot Pink HELLO KITTY armband.

Police officers caught littering, parking in a prohibited area, or arriving late — among other misdemeanors — will be forced to stay in the division office and wear the armband all day. The armband features Hello Kitty sitting atop two hearts...aaaawwwwwwwww.

The most suprising thing about this story wasn't that there were Police officers getting caught not following the rules, or that they were trying to mark the offending officers in a "demeaning" way, but that HELLO KITTY has been around since 1974!

In the story they explained who Hello Kitty was and said that it was started in Japan by the Sanrio Company in 1974. My first recollection of Hello Kitty was only 10 years ago when I bought my first Hello Kitty Lunchbox... it's really really cool!!!!!! To think I missed out on Hello Kitty for 23 years is very disappointing. The good news is I and all the rest of the world finally found Hello Kitty including the Thai Police.

Friday at the KTI Cool Zone at the Wisconsin State Fair I got the chance to see if I was a good enough athlete to train to become an Olympian. The US Bobsled team was here and looking for Men and Women to train for the 2010 Olympics. They tested me in five catagories. Vertical Jump, Medicine ball throw, and 3 different sprints. To be asked to Lake Placid New York to train you needed to achieve a score of 300, I fell a little short totalling 290. Just two points higher on each event and Lake Placid "HERE I COME".

After the testing they asked me to get on the ice to try the skeleton, which as they described as a lunch tray where you can't steer or brake and normally travel at 60 MPH or more down a mountain.. that's sounds really cool. Next came the big shocker they want me to wear what? A SKIN TIGHT Bobsled suit. After 10 minutes I had the bottom of the suit on only to learn that I put it on backwards the zipper goes on the back? Oh s*^#! So I had to take it off and try again this time I got help from one of the bobsledders 15 minutes later I was dressed for success as a bobsledder.

It's always a lot of fun here inside the KTI Cool Zone at the fair. A new adventure awaits Monday hopefully without the skin tight suit that leaves nothing to the imagination.

Beyonce is very talented perfomer. She can Act, Sing, Dance, and take a header and still keep going....... At her concert in Orlando she fell head first down some stairs but kept going and going despite the embarrassment.

One of my favorite falls is a TV reporter stomping grapes during a "live shot" when she falls hard and is howling in a lot of pain. The reaction of her co workers back in the studio is priceless. They faked concern for her safety even though they wanted to burst out laughing. When the camera's stopped rolling and they went to commercial I'm sure the hosts starting laughing hysterically I know I would have. See the reporter fall here.

Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested and released on bail for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence and with a suspended license, and felony cocaine possession, says she's innocent.
Lohan was arrested early Tuesday in Santa Monica, less than two weeks after completing her second trip to rehab.

"I am innocent... did not do drugs they're not mine. Lohan said in an email to "Access Hollywood"

Police found cocaine in one of Lohan's pockets during a pre-booking search.

Seriously it's not my drugs it's someone else's... now how did they get into my pocket? Lindsey Lohan is not that good of an actress to convince me that the drugs weren't hers.

Golf the greatest fundraiser

Who knew when I started to learn how to golf that it would be something that would also help raise money for groups that do many great things for others. Next Monday July 30th I'll be helping again with the Bobbie Nick Voss 2nd annual golf outing at North Hills. Bobbie was a wonderful woman that I have only met through her friends and family unfortunately she and her loved ones were effected by Colon Cancer. She was one of many that has died of Colon Cancer a Cancer that is easily detectable with a colorectal screening. Last year I had a colonoscapy to make sure I was healthy and the Doctors at Froedert found a couple of non cancerous pollops. Just like Bobbie's family and friends I had a loved one pass away from Colon Cancer. When I was just 5 years old my father died of colon cancer. Knowing the information about Colon Cancer and being preventitive with your health care can keep you from being another statistic. If detected early, colorectal cancer can be successfully treated 90% of the time. The most common symptom of colon cancer is no symptom.

The first annual LePettit Tour de France at Bastille Days was a lot of fun. Watching the kids and adults acting like kids on their trikes was very entertaining.

Some of our adults clearly looked like they hadn't been on a trike since they were 3! Including me.

I had an early lead until my foot slipped leading to Larry taking the lead from me...and a trip to the finals. In the finals it was Bernie from the Falls beating Corrie from Kenosha to take the first

Saturday afternoon you can join me for some tricycle racing. I'll be racing in the KTI Petit Tour de France. a tricycle race down Jefferson Street (between Wells and Kilbourn) on Saturday, July 14th at 2 p.m. during Bastille Days.

I of course can't remember when the last time I was on a tricycle, let's just say it's been longer than 30 years until I began my training for the KTI Petit Tour de France.

Wow these tricycles are wee!

I've gotten a little more comfortable on the trike. See I can even pop a wheely!

But it still can go awry!

There will be two categories for race contestants: The first will be for KTI kids 12 and under. Three heats of four will compete with the winners of each heat advancing to a final round with one person being declared the grand prize winner.

The grand prize winner in the KTI Kids category will win two tickets to see American Idols Live! Tour 2007 on August 5th at the Bradley Center.

The second will be for adults ages 18 or older. Again, three heats of four will compete with the winner from each heat advancing to the final round of competition with one person ultimately being declared the grand prize winner. The grand prize winner in the Adults category will win a 2-night stay at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

Friday I got a call from a good friend of mine that got his hands on two extra Police tickets for their show in Chicago. Sting and the guys are back with a tour. Back in the day the Police was my favorite band and so I was really excited about the opportunity to see the "real" Police.

Then he told me how much the tickets were for the show.... $250 a piece. Maybe I've been in radio too long and have gotten to see too many shows with free tickets that paying for a concert seems unnatural, especially at $250 each! So that's when I said thanks for thinking of me and let me know how the show is. This morning I got a taste of what I missed by watching the Police online from their Saturday performance at the Live Earth show... and I still have $500 in my pocket. One really GOOD salad

You know how sometimes you're really in the mood for a good salad. In the last week I've had two really good salads.... Nothing amazingly special just all the veggies that I like in my salad and a nice dressing. Although very tasty these salads wouldn't make me committ a crime to acquire. So I can only imagine what the salad must have tasted like that made someone kick in the door of a man's apartment, stuck a knife in the door and took a chilled salad from his refrigerator

Police said that's all that was stolen from the man's apartment. Nothing but the salad was missing.

Police said they have a suspect and expect to file charges once they finish their investigation. Yes Richard is a suspect.

Tomoji Tanabe was just officially crowned the world's oldest man by Guinness World Records.

How did he do it well he said he keeps a daily diary, drinks milk and stays away from alcohol and smoking.

The Japanese man was born September 18th 1895 and at 111 years old looks suprisingly good.

“He said he didn’t want to die,”
not to set more records but because he's enjoying life too much.

He isn't the oldest living person though, that title goes to a Japanese woman who is 114.

The number of Japanese living beyond 100 has almost quadrupled in the past 10 years, expected to exceed 28,000 this year. Experts often attribute the longevity to a Japanese diet rich in vegetables and fish.

I guess it's time to change our diet from Beer, Brats, and cheese!

Welcome Interns #1, 2 and 4

Hey summer is here at 94-5 KTI so that means the new summer interns have entered Radio City. It's my role here at KTI to make sure these interns have what it takes to make it in the radio business.

So starting today 3 of our interns got their start in the glamourous life of Radio broadcasting. I sent Interns #1, #2, and #4 down to our summerfest broadcast booth to get it ready for the summer. (I number them so I don't have to remember their names.

Just like Mr Miyagi made "Daniel Son" wax on wax off, and paint the fence up, down, up down cleaning the broadcast booth has positive effects that our interns may not see right now. Plus it was really really dirty and the Mathew Blades crew aren't sure where it is and Lips and I have to wash our hair or something!

This is after they cleaned up the gross stuff on the floor, it still looks gross and they will be heading back to the broadcast booth to clean it again.

Hey isn't it time we got a "reality check" Yes it's another round of new reality shows.

What's available this summer for your time wasting on T.V.

ABC is offering Shaquille O Neil helping overweight kids get into shape... that actually sounds pretty legit. ABC also has a car race competition with William Shatner he'll boldly go where no man has gone before.

Bravo is offering a Paula Abdul reality show called Hey Paula she's quirky enough to be semi entertaining.

A & E has reunited the Corey's for a reality show aptly named The Two Corey's. 80's child stars Corey Haim and Corey Feldman have been brought back together to live together on film. Corey Haim has moved in with Corey Feldman and his wife for some reality TV fun.... I think I might rather sit through one of their lame movies like License to Drive than watch this show. I said might.

VH1 is offering two new reality shows Rock of Love with Brett Michaels, it's Poison leadsinger living with 25 women that he's trying to hook up with...by the look of his picture maybe it's really 26 women living in the same house. Sounds like good times, good times.

The other VH1 offering is Scott Baio is 45...and single. It's about the former Happy Days/Charles in Charge star's single life sounds pathetic.

So intead of wasting time watching these, do something more productive like watch the grass grow, well at least you're outside.

There are what I call "dirty dog" guys everywhere. Head out onto Water street on any given night, and guys will be looking for a pretty girl to conquer... I have female friends say it doesn't happen just at the bars, but can happen to them just about anywhere.

Waiting at the drive up window for their order of a fast food restaurant...by the worker DOG who was bringing the food to her. THE ANSWER WAS NO!

Another friend who works as a waitress is hit on repeatedly by customers that are old enough to be her father or even grandfather... THE ANSWER WAS NO!

At a department store another customer approached my friend he was twice her age and quite disgusting, began conversation about the items in her cart.... making her feel uncomfortable and he wouldn't leave her alone he even chased her down as she left the store and asked for her number in the parking lot.... THE ANSWER WAS NO!

But the most bizarre place to be hit on may have happened this week in Milwaukee when I got was robbing a U-haul store after getting the money he grabbed the girl by the waist and the "DIRTY DOG" said to her "hey baby you look fine how about you give me your number" as he was robbing her! THE ANSWER WAS OF COURSE NO!

I had a great time dancing at the Mardi Gras Showcase at the Italian Community Center. Who knew ballroom dancing could be so fun? We danced to "Juicy" by Better than Ezra for half of our performance and then switched up to "Ain't no other man" by Christina Aguilera.

Dancing, Dancing...Dancing

I'm dancing again. Last spring I took the Celebrity Dance Challenge learning to ballroom dance with my professional dance teacher Suzana Gossett. This Saturday we will dance together again. Suzana puts on a ballroom show at the Italian Community Center each year and has asked me to dance with her again in the Mardi Gras Showcase. Just like last spring I didn't have a lot of time to learn the dance. This past week has been all about learning the moves in hopes that I don't look like a dancing fool. Suzana besides being a great teacher helps keep my confidence going in the dance world as a newbie to this activity. I never really considered learning how to Ballroom Dance prior to last spring, but enjoyed it more than I thought I ever would and knew someday I'd give it a try again and the Mardi Gras Showcase is that time and place.

Coming up Sunday Febuary 11th it's the annual Pasta Fest at Serb Hall.
Every year I join in the fight against Childhood Cancer with the Women's MAAC fund as a celebrity server. Using Mama Mia's Spaghetti and Meatball recipe we serve up some great pasta for a great cause.

You can come by for lunch, a late afternoon snack, or early dinner working the spaghetti line are many local Radio and TV personalities.

From 11-6 it's some great Pasta and a chance to win some great raffle prizes, there will be clowns, face painting, and musical entertainment. But the most important is having dinner with us will help the fight against Childhood Cancer with all proceeds benefit critical childhood cancer research through the MAAC fund.

A bad haircut we've all had them. This week according to Stephanie from our staff she experienced the dreaded "BAD HAIRCUT". She took the advice of her hair stylist only to regret it immediately after she was finished. Stephanie has since been pinning her hair up or wearing a hat two sure fire signs that you've just experienced a "BAD HAIRCUT". After seeing Stephanie's hair cut I could empathize with her because of past experiences but I actually thought it looked "cute". Here's a picture of Stephanie

Newest injury

This friendly game of flag football could be the death of me.

Another week another injury.

This time it is a severe case of rug burn. I was chasing down another player and slid on the artificial turf and ripped the skin off my leg.

Here I'm explaining to the Miller Lite girls how I got a boo boo at our Packer Miller Lite tailgate party.

They were really concerned about my health...

Nikki besides working for Miller is an athletic trainer and gave me some advice on how to treat my injuries.

Something tells me I'll need to talk to her again after Saturday the next time I play a "FRIENDLY" game of Flag Football.

At least my eye is getting better. You can barely see my one time black eye.

How's my eye look today?... tomorrow will be a week after the incident.

Yesterday we added a day-glow yellow to the color scheme or maybe it was some puss oozing out of my eye.

I have evidence and a better story of how I got my blackeye now too. How does this sound? I was walking down the hallway minding my own business when I came around the corner and got jacked up by a mobster. Vito of the Sopranos didn't like how I looked at him as he was walking down the hall here at radio city, so he did what mobsters do...showed his displeasure with his fists.

They say my black eye is starting to look better. Are they right?

Well at least the swelling is going down. I also like the new colors.... the red purple, orange, and just a hint of day-glo yellow. I'm not sure but I think it glows in the dark.

So how does my eye look today? I think we've added a new color to the rainbow I see yellow!

It may be getting better. When I push on my eye I don't feel it as much in my lip anymore. It was just so weird and it seems like the novacaine like feeling in my teeth is going away. I still am just as out of it as ever so no effects of a concussion linger.

I still haven't decided if I'll need to wear a helmet when I go out in public or play football again Saturday.

I think a welders helmet should do the trick if necessary.

So today I walked into work with a real SHINER. This past weekend I was playing in my friendly "Flag" football game when I got a shoulder to my face.

After a big flash of light and trying to remember exactly where I was and what I was doing there I realized I should probably wear a helmet playing this friendly "FLAG" football game.

Besides the cut on my eye, the swelling and colors of the rainbow I think I might have had a slight concussion. I felt really funky Saturday night funkier than normal.. some might say I go through life with the effects of a concussion. I was dizzy, lightheaded, and my vision was blurred.
Some might say that's a typical Saturday night too. But it was a bit different than normal.

Maybe I should consider wearing a helmet to protect my Farm and Fleet Catalog modeling career. But what helmet should I wear?

A diver's helmet?

This helmet is cool, it comes with a walkie talkie!

If I wear this helmet I could also use the forces of the dark side.

This helmet wouldn't offer much protection but maybe they would be laughing too hard to hit me in the face.

In medieval times they wore these when playing a friendly game of "Flag" football.

The beauty of this helmet is, it's not only a football helmet but it also comes with snacks.

In ancient times gladiators of the grid iron wore these with cute red hair.

So many helmets and only a few more days until I will be playing again and risking bodily harm. And for the record the other guy looks fine.

HALLOWEEN HAUNTS

It's halloween season and time for some spooky fun. Last weekend I visited MORGAN MANOR at the Waukesha Expo Grounds. When I arrived I got the chance to get into make-up. Hollywood make-up artist Bloody Mary as she is known transformed me into a frozen dead zombie guy.

Bloody Mary did the makeup of all the frozen dead people in Titanic, along with many big movies like Black Hawk Dawn, Behind Enemy Lines and whole bunch more. Bloody Mary also has a company that creates make-up that they use on all the CSI shows (for the dead people).

After my transformation to Frozen dead guy I got the chance to experience the Haunted House of MORGAN MANOR. When you start the haunted experience they put you into a Barn and lock you into horse stables in the dark it's pretty cool. When it was our time we traveled to the graveyard and into the unknown which is by far the best thing about a haunted house. You never knew what could possibly be waiting for you around the corner...a bloody girl with whacked out eyes in a crib... or some guy who looked as if he would like to eat my arm. Morgan Manor gave our whole group the creeps which is exactly what we wanted.....and it seemed to last forever with my heart pounding the whole way.

Tuesday night I made my debut as a model in the Goodwill Retro Rendevous....

I strutted my stuff in some really nice clothes from Boston Store along with Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, Long snapper Rob Davis and former Packer Santana Dotson.

Today's TMJ 4's Molly Fay and Alison de Castro, Packers Linebacker AJ Hawk's wife Laura and Donald Drivers wife Betina represented the women for the show.

During the show it was very hard to contain Kirsten... I had to grab her leg to keep her from jumping from the box seats down onto the stage and attacking Nick....

Nick Lachey performed songs from his new album songs from his days with 98 degrees and the oddest moment of the night was the mini tribute to Led Zeppelin....... Yes I did say Led Zeppelin that's when the guys and dads that had been dragged to the show by their girlfriends and daughters finally recognized a song and stood up to head bang for a few minutes.

But after Ramble on and Whole Lotta love he came back to what he does best.... Touch the souls of the ladies.

Nick touched the soul of our whole group...And I had another fun night with our KTI insiders...

Saturday night Colin Hay the former lead singer of Men at Work performed a solo acoustic show at Harvest Fair at State Fair Park. His fans definitely came out to say "Hello" and listen to his music from the days of Men at Work and beyond.

Colin is best known as the leader of the Austrailian group Men at Work but it's been about 20 years since Men at Work went their separate ways. Colin Hay has been working on his own music since those days and has a new CD coming out in February.

Colin put on two shows in between we put on a show of our own. We had the audience come on stage to sing Men at work....

Gretchen did more of a talking than a singing of Down Under.

Jason not only sang but
acted out the song as well.

These guys are definitely ready to start a new "BOY BAND"

They even got the women out of their seats.... could he be the next Justin Timberlake?

And our winner from Cudahy got the full support of everyone except Colin Hay who couldn't bare to listen to his songs sung by our Karaoke singers.

In today's edition of the USA Today it says that President Bush's approval rating is on the rebound. His approval rating has risen to 44% the highest it's been in a year.

The story in USA today says because of the falling gas prices and a two week drive to highlight the administration's efforts on the war on terror his approval rating is on the way up.

But I think I know what is actually pushing President Bush's approval rating up his new video doing a cover version of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday....

Saturday I went rummaging at KTI Insider Laura's house.

She had all the usual rummage items kids and baby clothes

old books that were never read

"As Seen on TV" item or two that were still in the orginal packaging and had never been opened

old beer glasses

Coat racks otherwise known as exercise equipment

but one item caught my eye, the homemade bow and arrow rack with real deer hooves

Remarkably the deer hooves rack
was still available when we left Laura's rummage...

After the made rush of 3 people it slowed down so KTI Street team members Nick and Jason were able to play with some of the toys that were just a buck well within their price range...

I think KTI Insider Laura will be making a trip either back to the basement or to Goodwill with the leftovers....

DARING ADVENTURE #7

The final daring adventure at the Pettit had royalty and an Olympic Champion.....

Alice in Dairyland Nicole was always up for some ice fun in the Cool Zone, and Olympic Champion Bonnie Blair
knows her way around an Ice rink.

But it was a new game I created for the Cool Zone. Kayak curling. Using an inflatable kayak from Laacke and Joys I pushed "Alice" and Bonnie down the ice an into the curling scoring zone.

It wasn't easy to keep your feet on the ice while pushing the Kayak towards the curling circle..

Olympic champion Bonnie Blair was also the Kayak curling champion beating Alice in Dairyland by a nose of the kayak. In the end of 7 Daring Adventures I had almost as many medals as Bonnie Blair the major difference is I had to create my medals unlike Bonnie who won them.

DARING ADVENTURE #6

Daring Adventure number 6 gave me the chance to try and stop the puck! My first goal was to stay upright on the hockey skates.

I had to stop the high flying pucks from The Fairest of the Fair Kim, Randy Prasse the Executive Director of the Fair, and Mike from the KTI Street Team.

The only puck to get past me was when they decided it would be funny if they all shot at once...

I'm not ready for the Admirals or even some rec league team, but I'd love another Daring adventure in GOAL.

DARING ADVENTURE #5

Daring Adventure #5 at the Cool Zone put me with the Pettit Center Synchronized Skating team and wear my sequence shirt again. In just a few short minutes I went from just trying to stay upright on my skates to learning choreography on skates.

This is when we spun in a circle....

This is called a "Pass through", I think? it reminded me of RED ROVER.

DARING ADVENTURE # 4

This was Daring not only for me but for the "Royalty" of the Wisconsin State Fair.

It was a speed skating challenge with Fairest of the Fair, Alice in Dairyland, and the Wisconsin Honey Queen.

We raced 100 meters down the straightaway at the Pettit.

I representing the Cool Zone as the "Fairest of the Cool Zone" raced against the State Fair "Royalty".

This was a blast, even when I found myself crashing to a stop.

The Honey Queen could definitely skate and beat me in one of the races and nearly won another.

Fairest of the Fair and Alice in Dairyland know much more about the Fair and Agriculture than speed skating, but still had a great time during our adventure.

Daring Adventure # 3

At the Wisconsin State Fair there are many wonderful things to see and do. Who doesn't love to eat something on a stick....

there's the very popular cream puffs....

and the world largest farm with all of the animals.

Today for Dan's Daring Adventure presented by Laacke and Joys I brought an element of the farm to the Cool Zone at the Pettit, as we played "Cow Chip Golf" on skates.

It was harder to throw the "Cow Chips" than you might think.

At least we didn't have any "EXPLOSIONS"!

Daring Adventure #2

Today it was a different way to view the ice. Instead of the view from on top of the Zamboni, I was up close and personal with the ice at the Pettit Center and the Cool Zone at Wisconsin
State Fair.

Today I learned about some of the intricacies from the "World of Figure Skating". With help from my coaches I learned some new skating moves. Actually I learned just skating moves, because I didn't really have any skating moves.

Along with learning the lunge...

skating on one leg.....

a spin.....

backwards skating.....

and a small I stress a very small jump....

I learned how to fall properly which has became very important in my Figure Skating career.....

Thanks to my coaches for putting up with a less than stellar figure skater I doubt I'll be joining you for a skating competition any time soon.

On to Dan's Daring Adventure #3.

DARING ADVENTURE #1

Day 1 at the Wisconsin State Fair and Day 1 inside the cool zone at the Pettit Ice Center brought us "DARING ADVENTURE" number 1 presented by Laacke and Joys. Each day at the fair I'll attempt something new and different to test my skills at whatever it happens to be. Daring adventure number 1 could really be called life long goal number 1. Who hasn't wished at a hockey game to climb down from the stands and DRIVE THE ZAMBONI?

I mean being in charge of 4 tons of machinery would make Tim Allen proud....

So to test my skills as a Zamboni driver I put myself up to the Brady Bunch EGG on the Cone test.

How close could I get to the Cone with the Zamboni without knocking the egg off the cone?

How close could I get to the cone without knocking off the egg? Would the egg break all over the Pettit oval? Why the heck would they let me even drive this giant Zamboni?

Well because I have "SKILLS"! Without being able to see a thing I did get pretty close.

Marsha Brady would be proud.

So the Brewers announced that they are adding a new Sausage to the famous Sausage Race at Miller Park.
Chorizo, a tasty Mexican sausage, will join the Hot Dog, Bratwurst, Polish and Italian as the newest member of the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages team at Miller Park.

But why stop with just one more sausage I believe there is room for one more. A sausage that has stood the test of time, yes it's a favorite of the Wisconsin State Fair, it's a blue ribbon champion... THE CORN DOG!

What's better than sausage on a stick deep fried?
